This poor calf got stuck in a waterhole. He is so little that he must be just a few days old. And he’s apparently pretty clumsy. This little guy managed to get himself stuck in a muddy ditch and it was just too slippery and too deep for him to get out.
He tries hard to get out of it, but none of his attempts work. His front feet are out, but it’s too slippery for his back legs to push him out. His mother did everything she could to help him out. She struggled to hoist him up with her trunk, but she doesn’t succeed either.
But just then their majestic herd comes to their aid. With mom in the ditch with him and the rest of the herd pushing with their trunks, they finally get the little guy out of there. When the little guy finally gets back up with his family, it is adorable to watch! Look at him running off in the end! He’s so clumsy and cute!
