Mr. Peaches, a baby squirrel, loved to climb up his mom Linda’s jeans whenever he got a chance. Recently, the kind woman found the poor animal stranded on the deck. The baby squirrel was probably a month old when they saw him.
Linda’s kids were home the day they found the squirrel. Even Jake, their pet dog, got apprehensive about seeing the cute animal. Linda’s daughter ran over to the deck when she found the baby squirrel.
Linda’s partner, Steve, knew that the kit needed their help. The little one would curl up in a small ball to cover himself with his tail like a blanket. The family took care of all the daily needs of the baby.
They fed him. Initially, he did not eat nuts. Then, his teeth weren’t formed enough, so they brought him pre-shelled almonds. Linda had put Mr. Peaches in a chest with wicker drawers.
However, as Mr. Peaches got bigger, Linda realized that the drawer wasn’t enough for him. He liked to be in high places. So her dad had made a pagoda, which she hung from a hook.
The kind woman kept the little squirrel there, and he was pleased to have his own sweet home. He made himself a nice little comfortable place inside the pagoda. Mr. Peaches was a trickster.
Mr. Peaches loved to play with Linda. His favorite game was to circle around Linda’s body and play cat and mouse with her. Jake, their pet dog, knew that Mr. Peaches was family now and never chased him. However, one day when Linda went out to look out for the squirrel, she could not find him. She was scared at first, but Mr. Peaches returned home after a day. She was happy that he got a bit of both world. The security of a home and the wildlife.
