Meet Bao Bao, the giant panda. Bao Bao was born on August 23, 2013, at the National Zoo in Washington D.C. and up until today, she has never seen snow before. Here she is on her very first snow day. You remember the first time you played in the snow, right? Well, this is a day that Bao Bao will remember forever, too!
Bao Bao was only 16-months-old in this video and is still very much a toddler. Her outdoor enclosure at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo is a perfect place to romp and play in the snow, and there is a lot of it. This little panda is having a ball.
Bao Bao spent much of the morning playing in the snow for the very first time. The sixteen month-old panda cub tumbled down the hill in her outdoor enclosure, climbed trees and pounced on her mother Mei Xing, who seemed to be enjoying the cool snow as well.
Watching Bao Bao play has me wishing for winter and a big blanket of snow to play in. She is having so much fun playing and it is adorable to watch.
