Josh Groban and H.E.R. are tasked with performing the title song ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ The song was initially performed by Angela Lansbury, who voiced ‘Mrs. Potts’ in the movie.

They elegantly stroll down the stairway to the center of the circular stage. H.E.R. is dressed as Princess Belle, and Josh Groban is dressed as the Prince. The audience loves the performance, and they applaud throughout.

H.E.R. begins singing the first line, “Tale as old as time. True as it can be. Barely even friends, then somebody bends unexpectedly.” Josh enters to sing the second part of the verse. The pair comes together in beautiful harmony on the song’s chorus.

Dancers dressed in ornate white gowns and suits begin to move together, surrounding the stage. H.E.R. leaves the scene and returns with a soaring electric guitar lead at the top of the staircase. The clear guitar body contains a rose, similar to the famed stained glass window from the movie.

‘Beauty and the Beast’ is a song written by the legendary writing team of lyricist Howard Ashman and composer Alan Menken for the 1991 film. The catchy melody and emotional words were sung in just one take by Angela Lansbury for the movie.

All the other characters and guest stars join Josh and H.E.R. for the finale on stage. The harmony and blend the two performers achieve is fantastic. The spectacle of the ballroom, with smoke billowing from the floor along with the dancers and the majestic music, takes us right back to the emotion of the original movie.
