A video clip showing the evergreen Betty White on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson shows a different side of Betty. She is there to tell more about her writer side, but as per usual, she stirs up a storm of laughter.
Most of the time, the veteran actress appeared on some of the sketches on the show. This time they jokingly refer to her not having to take off her clothes for a skit like ‘The Garden of Eden.’
Betty talks about a side of her that not many people know about: her passion for writing. Betty had just published her book ‘Betty White in Person’ and Johnny was curious to talk to her about it.
Betty reveals that she started writing when she was only 8 years old. Her first piece was a screenplay called ‘Trouble in Paradise.’ She admitted to being a massive fan of ‘The Wizzard of Oz’ when she wrote the book.
Betty cracks a few naughty jokes in between that have Johnny in an awkward position. Still, the audience loves every minute of it. There is even a little bit of on-screen flirting happening between the two.
One viewer that picked up on the chemistry commented: ‘Jokes aside, Johnny and Betty would have been a real power couple.’ Whether it is just joking or serious flirting, regardless, it is still very entertaining to watch.
