Bindi Irwin enjoyed an awesome season of Dancing With The Stars this year. The talented daughter of Steve Irwin took home first place, and anyone who watches her dance can easily see why.
The video below features one of Bindi’s performances, influenced by pop culture. Bindi and her dance partner, Derek Hough, didn’t hold anything back when they brought out this dance inspired by one of the most legendary dance numbers in all of cinema history.
When “Dirty Dancing” was released in 1987, it immediately won its way into the hearts and people across the world. The dance scene between Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey has been re-enacted in slumber parties and at homecoming school dances ever since.
Bindi and Derek gave a stunning performance as they recreated the final scene from “Dirty Dancing”. They copied the costumes, the music, the lighting...and of course that legendary lift!
Bindi went to Twitter before the show, obviously giddy with excitement. “Getting ready for tonight's show on @DancingABC,” she wrote, “I still can't believe I've been given this opportunity.”
The judges were as enamored by their performance as the audience, and gave the pair a perfect 40 out of 40 score.
