Often referred to as”The Fourth Tenor,” Andrea Bocelli has proved himself as a lasting international performer in both classical and pop music.
For those of you who are curious about the “fourth tenor” reference , there was a popular operatic singing group during the 1990s and early 2000s, consisting of Spaniards Plácido Domingo and José Carreras and the Italian Luciano Pavarotti — all famed performers. “I wanted to go back to my memories of being a young man, playing at a piano bar. Obviously, since then, I’ve produced lots of albums, sung lots of covers, performed many other things. But at a certain point, I said to myself: ‘Maybe the time has come to put my effort into finding new songs.’ Like starting all over again, as it were, in my career.”
