Bonding With a Very Pregnant Chipmunk Who Is About to Give Birth

A chipmunk stands on a stone ledge, holding a person's finger with its front paws.

Chipmunks are the cutest animals with captivating eyes and thick tails, stripped back with chubby cheeks. Everyone must have noticed these small cute creatures darting around the trees or your yards.

Some may have known them from the Walt Disney animated movie Chip & Dale or when you heard the Chipmunk song known as "Christmas Don't be late" in the movie "Alvin and the Chipmunks."

These chubby-faced cute little enticers are much more complex beings than anyone can imagine. Chipmunk's diet, their lifestyle, living preferences & social proclivities can surprise many of us who have never been close to wildlife.

Chipmunks require a daily sleep time of around 15 hours per day. This is, although based on the fact observed in the chipmunks who are in captivity. However, suppose you consider this fact actual even for the wild chipmunks. In that case, they are very busy during the 9-hour time they are awake.

The weight of the chipmunk is around 28 to 142 grams, and they are the little members of the family of squirrels. You can find around 25 different species of chipmunks from Mexico to Canada.

Wally, the chipmunk, has a very close bond with a young girl. She does not live-in captivity and stays in the forest. She is due to give birth and is at first skeptical to come close to the owner. However, she, later on, gets comfortable and allows the girl to caress her.

After 3 days, Wally has now given birth and is back at the lake. She looks perfectly healthy and feeds on the seeds given to her by the girl. Later she returns home to her young ones.
