When Kayla and her husband moved to Florida, they wanted to expand their family, and they met Walter White, the Boxer dog. His first family had surrendered him to a shelter.
When Kayla rescued him, he was skinny and had a kennel cough. But they took care of him, and Walter grew to be a wonderful dog. However, they soon noticed that Walter seemed to have an interesting personality.
His humans describe it as a “grumpy old man stuck in a dog.” He sits on the couch with his chest puffed out and a seemingly judgmental stare on his face.
Just like a grandpa, Walter watches everything and everyone. Eventually, he falls asleep wherever he is sitting. Kayla describes it as watching him melt into the chair.
When he wakes back up, he returns to watching everyone, making sure they’re behaving themselves. In every room of his humans’ house and their in-laws’, he has a special chair he likes to sit in, and no one else should try to sit there.
Walter doesn’t want to miss anything. He follows his humans around and is thrilled when they return home. He may have a grumpy face, but his short tail wags back and forth whenever he hears the door open and knows his owners have returned.
Kayla and her husband don’t have human children, but Walter and their other dog are more than enough to fill their hearts. Despite his quirky personality, Walter is just a lovable pooch who loves his humans.
