Some people just want to help the planet. They see the repercussions of years of mining for fossil fuels. This isn’t only an environmental issue; fossil fuels can easily be linked to the last few wars the U.S. has been in. We have ravaged the planet and continue to do so. It’s a tragic and terrible problem that we are solving or have already found solutions that aren’t accepted due to greed.
If you’re anything like me or even if you aren’t, at a basic level, we all enjoy games. At least to some degree, the competitive nature inside us can be nurtured or even trained. When it comes to those who are amazingly good at games (Bobby Fischer, Sergey Karjakin, etc.) you think of a different way to play a game that you’ve lost at before. When it comes to greats in the game of chess, their mindset is not what their next move is, they plan 10 moves ahead. This has led to their success and their wins. So, when it comes to the planet, I believe this is the same mindset we must take on to save the planet- think 10 moves in the future.
One precious pup named Paris is a one-and-a-half-year-old Boxer with this very state of mind. Every evening when she and her mom go for a walk, any litter that is found by the dog is promptly picked up and carried home to be recycled. If Paris can do it, then what’s your excuse? What’s stopping you from doing your part to leave the planet somewhat inhabitable for future generations?
