Brad Pitt is, without a doubt, one of the most famous actors in the world. He has starred in dozens of fantastic films over the years and has a massive presence in the media as a superstar.
But before he became the man we know him as today, Brad Pitt was born William Bradley Pitt on December 18, 1963, in Oklahoma.
And although Brad was always interested in movies, he was certainly not on the track to becoming an actor.
In fact, he attended Missouri University to study journalism and advertising after high school. However, Pitt dropped out just two weeks before he was meant to finish his degree in order to move to Los Angeles to pursue his true dream.
The first few years in Hollywood were tough for Pitt. He took acting classes and landed several small roles in movies that never made it to the theaters and minor parts in a few television series.
Most people consider Brad’s big break to be his role as Louis in Interview With a Vampire, for which he won two MTV Movie Awards. However, many didn’t enjoy his performance in the film and felt he actually came into his own on screen in his next movie, Legends of the Fall (when he got his first Golden Globe nomination.)
From 1994-1998 Brad Pitt starred in several highly well-received films and was undoubtedly making a name for himself. But he wouldn’t become truly famous like he is today until the year 1999.
During the early 2000s, Pitt was considered a huge commercial success for his parts in movies such as Ocean’s 11, Troy, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Fight Club, and many more.
And at the same time that he was the leading man in several incredible films, Brad also created a production company, Plan B Entertainment. The company produced blockbusters such as The Departed, 12 Years a Slave, Moonlight, and Moneyball.
Brad Pitt’s personal life has been in the mainstream media for decades. While he is widely considered one of the most talented and attractive men in Hollywood, he got quite a bit of bad press for divorcing everyone’s favorite actress Jennifer Aniston for Angelina Jolie.
Over the past 10 years, Brad Pitt has continued to star in and create some of the world’s famous films, and although he has recently been focusing on more behind-the-scenes work, he is still an essential part of the industry.
Most recently, Pitt starred in the very popular film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. And while we don’t know what he’s working on now, anyone who watches his movie is surely excited to see what he does next!
