Brave Little Elephant Runs Into River To Rescue Her Favorite Person From ‘Drowning’

Kindness can be one of the strongest powers in the world. Just ask Kham Lha, one of the youngest residents at Thailand’s Elephant Nature Park.

Kham La first met the staff at the elephant sanctuary in 2015, when she and 19 other elephants were rescued from the tourism industry. She was four years old at the time. Like her fellow elephants, she’d been subjected to a cruel training ‘crush’. When she arrived at Elephant Nature Park, she was in dire need of love.

Enter Darrick, one of the sanctuary’s staff. He stayed by her side as she recuperated, showing her gentleness of a sort she’d never experienced. With only pain in her pass, Darrick’s care helped Kham Lha regain her joy and health.

Now, Kham Lha shows her appreciation for Darrick on a daily basis. If she even senses Darrick is in danger, she immediately leaps to the rescue. The video below is proof of that, but not the only proof. There are several videos of Kham Lha watching out for her favorite human.

It just shows that kindness can result in unimaginable bonds that last for years.

Check out Kham Lha’s dedication to Darrick in the video below! What did you think? Leave us a comment, we’d love to hear from you!
