At his daughter’s wedding, the father of the bride gave a hilarious and sentimental toast that had everyone laughing and crying. He started by talking about a memory of seeing his daughter Nicole with her boyfriend, Nick.
They were smiling, and Nicole’s father turned to his wife Sue and said with confidence, “She’s gonna marry that boy.” Later that evening, they were all sleeping under the same roof.
Suddenly in the middle of the night, the father’s door flung open. He and Sue were shocked to see Nick, who was clearly inebriated. Nick walked past them and into their bathroom.
They weren’t sure what to do with him. After he came out, he didn’t leave their room. Instead, he crawled into bed with them. Sue was very accommodating and moved over to give him space.
Nicole’s father got up and guided Nick back to his room. When he got back, he locked the door and looked at his wife with bewilderment. He said, “She’s gonna marry that boy?”
The wedding guests were laughing along with Nick and Nicole. The bride’s father went on to compliment Nicole on continuing to have the same childlike enthusiasm she’s had ever since she was a child.
Glasses were raised as the toast ended, and Nick and Nicole got up to thank him for his excellent toast.
