Brooke Simpson Sings an Amazing Rendition of 'Cuz I Love You'

A woman sings into a microphone, wearing a white top and gold necklace, with a dark background.

Walking and introducing herself for America’s Got Talent is Brooke Simpson. She is part of the Haliwa-Saponi tribe, and is 100% Native American. She loves where she comes from, a small town where everyone is family.

Her family is the reason she sings since music is a big part of her culture. Every third weekend of April their tribe has a festival celebrating themselves with singing and dancing.

She says her people are so often erased from the conversation. Tears welled up in her eyes as she said she wants to make sure they won’t be forgotten again.

The judges of America’s Got Talent absolutely love Brooke Simpson’s audition

Onto the stage she walks and talks to the judges. She reveals it has been her dream to sing for Simon Cowell, and her big dream is to be the first indigenous pop star in order to be a role model for the next generations.
