If you have ever been camping or on a hike, you know that bears can be a big concern. But when they are not chasing down rivals or ravaging campsites, these mammals are cuddly critters.
At least that was the case for Jenny and Amy, a pair of orphaned Syrian brown bears living at the Orphaned Wildlife Center. These two lovable bears were more interested in snuggling than roughhousing.
Jenny and Amy were among the nine ursine residents of the no-kill sanctuary for bears. This compassionate organization provides a home and care for young bears separated from their mothers.
Their mission statement makes it clear what they were about. “At the Orphaned Wildlife Center our goal is to provide safety and nurturing to animals that are truly orphaned and prepare them to be returned to a life in the wild.”
The bears at Orphaned Wildlife Center might not have any blood relatives in the sanctuary, but that has not stopped them from forming a family. And there is no better example of that than the affectionate Jenny and Amy.
Even after Jenny and Amy got up from their nap, they were inseparable, constantly cuddling or playing nearby each other. It was clear these two bears were companions for life.
