Bullies Mock Cheerleader With Down Syndrome - These Teen Heroes Stopped the Game to Defend Her

A girl with Down syndrome holds a basketball, flanked by three young men in a gym setting.

It's okay if you do not know why students bully themselves or why people, generally, bully others. It happens, and it can be traumatic. It happened again in a basketball court in Lincoln Middle School, Kenosha, Wisconsin, but something different followed.

While different teams enjoyed the basketball game, the cheerleader Desiree, who has Down Syndrome, got bullied. Desiree found affection in cheerleading at a tender age, and she did it with all her might.

Although she has speech deficiency, she sings and dances to express herself. After a game session, the cheerful cheerleader, Desiree, who doesn't hurt, was seen being bullied at the other end of the gym.

Three boys rose to her and stood up against her bullies. They are Scooter Terrien, Chase Vasquez, and Miles Rodriguez, who are some of the stellar players on the court.

These boys are called three musketeers, and they became exceptional for standing against bullies and helping out a friend. Desiree is this friend who is unafraid even when words fail her.

Scooter, Chase, and Miles believe that they didn't need to hesitate before they acted. The boys left their bench to tell the bullies to quit, and they protected their friend and cheerleader, Desiree, with this act.

While this was a simple act of courage, it meant a lot for the community and other parts of the country. The father of Desiree was happy that this happened, and so were the fathers of the three boys.
