Casey Anderson found a tiny grizzly bear cub out in the wild 6 years ago. The cub seemed to be abandoned because the mother was nowhere to be found. Either the boy had been abandoned by his mum or some terrible fate had befallen her.
This was the beginning of an incredible relationship. Casing them the bear Brutus and he grew up at Casey’s home until Brutus was too large to stay there. Knowing they Brutus needed somewhere safe to live Casey built the Montana Grizzly Encounter Rescue and Educational Sanctuary.
Casey was well suited for this challenge because not only had he grown up around the Montana wildlife but he’d also studied biology in college. This chance encounter found the perfect fit for Casey and an amazing relationship between the two of them.
