From the beloved ‘Carol Burnett Show’ comes a hilarious comedic sketch featuring Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, and Tim Conway that will leave you in stitches.
Burnett and Ball portray two car rental agents from competing companies who constantly quarrel over potential customers. The sketch opens with the two ladies resuming their posts in an airport.
After they exchange wisecracking insults and comedic cat hisses, the first customer of the day drops by to return the keys to Lucille Ball’s booth. Carol Burnett crushes with the quip, “Goodbye, Dad,” as Mr. Johnson slinks away.
Along comes unsuspecting Tim Conway just off his plane and looking for a car to rent. The two ladies dish out nonstop laughs as they vie for his business by promising low rates, extra services, and headaches to boot.
Finally, Burnett and Ball almost break out in a full-on brawl, coming out from behind their counters, when the public transportation bus driver swoops in to rescue Conway and offer her services.
He gladly accepts and walks off while the two spitfire car rental agents stand shoulder to shoulder, hissing at the bus driver who has stolen their only customer.
Although this sketch is only five minutes long, you will crack up at the antics of the legendary Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett, who always leave you wanting more.
