We all feel like we are surrounded by advertisements all day long, but Carol Burnett found a way to turn it into a hilarious sketch. Carol faces the terror of being surrounded by ads herself.

Carol walks into the house wearing an apron. She is about to put away a white dress shirt when she hears singing that says, “Ring around the collar! Ring around the collar!”
She quickly closes the drawer with a look of horror on her face. Carol opens the door, and a man dressed in all white grabs her and kisses her. A narrator says to her, “He kissed you once. But, will he kiss you again?”

Carol comically pleads, “No!” Then, she opens a can of peas, and more advertisement music starts playing in the background as she whimpers. They sing, “In the Valley of the Jolly Green Giant.”
Carol eats from a bag and hears, “Bet you can’t eat just one!” She throws the food on the ground. A bra floats through her kitchen, and Carol grabs it and stomps it on the floor.

She grabs a suitcase and starts packing, saying, “I’m getting out of here!” She begins to change her clothes, and a woman’s voice says, “Take it off. Take it off.”
Carol covers herself, jamming her suitcase with items that are being thrown at her by the advertising people. She has to rush as multiple narrators overlap their speeches for their products. She walks out the door and hears horses running. She returns with a spear in her chest that causes her to fall on the floor.
