Carson Peters & Iron Mountain is a bluegrass, gospel, and old-time Christian band. The five band members are from Mount Airy, North Carolina, and Marion, Virginia. They all play acoustic instruments.

The Christian band consists of Eric Marshall, Ben Marshall, Austin Tate, Jamie Peters, and Carson Peters. Eric plays the banjo and is the father of Ben, who plays the bass and also sings.

Austin Tate is a mandolin player from Marion, Virginia. He also sings for the band from time to time. Jamie Peters is Carson's father and a rhythm guitar player who regained his musical passion after his song began playing.
In an emotional performance at the HoustonFest, Carson, accompanied by Ben and Austin, deliver a raw rendition of 'Go Rest High on That Mountain.' Vince Gill wrote the song during the early nineties as a sort of eulogy.
The two times Grammy awarded song is now getting its bluegrass twist with the young men of the band. The three boys take a turn in singing the melancholic lyrics for a touching performance.
