Everyone has a particular place in which they truly feel comfortable. Not only for humans, but this is also true for animals—especially cats that make their own spaces from ‘scratch.’
Calvin, the ginger tabby, has crafted the perfect relaxation space. He built this entirely out of a leftover box that he scratched and sculpted perfectly to fit his specific needs.
Calvin was genuinely starting to make a mess while spending most of his time in his new cardboard box home. His mother got to the point where she knew that some cleanup would be necessary.
Attempting to distract Calvin with new boxes that weren’t shredded, this woman genuinely pulled out all the tricks. After examining the latest packages, Calvin would always return to his original cat pad.
Accepting that Calvin was only attracted to his mostly shredded bix, the woman is learning to live with this eyesore in their living room. Calvin still stays true to his box even with a bed and large cat tree.
Possibly because the box came from their old house, the woman is still trying to figure out why Calvin is so obsessed with this box. He’s got his mind made up and certainly won’t change his opinion.
The most important thing is that Calvin feels very safe and comfortable while in his box. Everyone has that one place that just can’t be replaced, and this cardboard box is his everything for Calvin.
