On this date, September 12, 1974, country superstar Jennifer Nettles was born in Douglas, Georgia. She is now known as one-half of the duo that makes up the group ‘Sugarland.’ Can you name any of Sugarland’s hit songs?

The award-winning singer has achieved tremendous success as a singer and songwriter. Her latest band ‘Sugarland’ has released numerous successful albums.

Jennifer previously fronted bands called ‘Soul Miner’s Daughter’ and ‘Jennifer Nettles Band.’ She has also participated in a duet with rock legend Bon Jovi in 2006’s hit single ‘Who Says You Can’t Go Home.’

Jennifer got her start singing at school assemblies, her church, and in community theater. Besides country music, Jennifer has been in the Broadway production of ‘Chicago,’ playing Roxy Hart.

She also dabbles as a celebrity judge on the TV show ‘American Supergroup,’ along with the ‘Go-Big Show.’ Jennifer has acted in HBO’s dark comedy ‘The Righteous Gemstones.’

Sugarland has been a powerhouse group in country music, scoring their biggest crossover hit in 2010 with ‘Stuck Like Glue.’ The duo started as a trio until band member Kristen Hall left the band.

Jennifer Nettles has enjoyed a fantastic career in country music, writing and singing hit after hit. She has performed on many of the world’s biggest stages as a soloist and with Sugarland.
