Theoklitos Proestakis was also popularly known as Takis. He was a former DJ and ran an animal shelter in Crete, Greece. He loved animals and had rescued and helped almost 400 stray dogs.
This kind man recently came across a stray dog chained to a wall in a secluded area. The poor animal was in a terrible state and was very skinny. So when the dog saw Takis, she was delighted.
The innocent dog continuously kept on wagging her tail. She was glad to find a stranger who had come to rescue her. She was almost begging Takis to free her.
Takis freed the dog and took her along with him in his car. She sat happily next to her rescuer and soon reached the Takis Shelter. At first, she was a bit hesitant about the place.
But when she saw lots of food, the dog was thrilled. She had now got a large enclosure where she could roam freely and had new dog friends who were her neighbors.
Takis was glad that the dog had gotten used to the surroundings so fast. He was happy to help another animal who needed him and was determined to find a new home for the dog.
The dog was so hungry that she kept on eating for some time. Finally, when Takis called for the dog, the look in her eyes was saying it all. She was thankful to the rescuer who saved her from dying on the street all alone.
