Check Out This Bird That Thinks He’s A Lapdog. When You Hear The Sound? It’s Like Cloud Nine!

The star of this video is Ripley the toucan. The toucan is a bird with a gigantic beak, so gigantic that they called it a bill. It’s that serious – if you name something after a dollar bill, you’d better be serious!

There is a serious discussion online about why Ripley was given the name Ripley. One person guessed that he was named after the Sigourney Weaver character in Aliens, Ellen Ripley. He argued that it’s because his bill is shaped like the scary alien’s head. Makes sense, doesn’t it?

Another person claimed that Ripley was named after Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. He argued that this bird would fit in with any of the strange things that can be found there.

Yet another person claimed that this bird was named after Ripley Ice Cream, which makes sense because such a big mouth is better to eat ice cream with.

Since the owner has so far refused to let us in on the secret, the discussion is still ongoing. It’s gotten a bit heated of late, as a matter of fact. That’s why Ripley’s owner released this sweet, sweet video of his bird in a sincere effort to defuse the heated discussion.

Ripley is such a sweet bird. I can’t believe my eyes, and then I can’t believe my ears! What is that noise? The sound has such perfectly natural timber. It’s unbelievably soothing, far better than any yoga music in the world.

I’d be curious to know if you agree, and if you don’t, why not. Also, any input regarding Ripley’s name is appreciated. The comments section is below – check it out.
