From the cage to the wild, freedom beckons.

Mufasa, aged 20, has lived most of his life in a Peruvian circus. The Peruvian government's ban on wild animals in circuses paved the way for his liberation. Animal Defenders International (ADI) has actively pursued and rescued various wild animals from circuses, marking a new era of animal welfare.

ADI's efforts culminated in the rescue of Mufasa, the last wild animal they sought to save. He was found in poor conditions, chained inside a circus truck. ADI's compassionate team freed Mufasa from his chains, initiating his journey back to a natural life.

Circus Mountain Lion finally tastes freedom.

The rescue operation involved carefully transferring Mufasa into a spacious cage, which was then airlifted and placed onto another truck. ADI ensured Mufasa was comfortable, lining his cage with dried grass, symbolizing their commitment to his well-being. His destination was the lush Peruvian forest, a fitting home for this majestic creature.

Mufasa's long captivity meant he couldn't survive independently in the wild. Therefore, ADI built a special enclosure for him in the Peruvian forest, blending the sanctuary with his natural environment. This thoughtful approach ensured Mufasa's comfort and safety within a setting mirrored his natural habitat.
