Tim says he now uses music to communicate with his kids because he has just given up. He tells the audience that he sings to his kids to convey his message more clearly. Tim says, “We were at the mall the other day. They’re just begging me for an iPhone for an hour.”

He mimics his kids, using an obnoxious squealing voice. Tim begins playing ‘Love Song’ by Sara Bareilles. Tim changes the lyrics and starts singing, “I’m not gonna buy you an iPhone ’cause you asked for it like you need one.”

Tim also talks about having an older son by saying, “I had to use a Chris Daughtry song the other day.” He begins playing ‘Home,’ and the crowd starts laughing. “Hanging out and who knows where. Don’t even try to blame this on your friends.”

Then, he gets to the chorus and sings, “You’re staying home. It’s the place where you belong. You done wrong, and now you’re grounded for a week.” The crowd loves it.

He continues his parodies with John Mayer’s ‘Waiting on the World to Change.’ He sings to his kids, “Waiting for your attitude to change.” Tim changes Jason Mraz’s song ‘I’m Yours’ by singing, “It’s time to fumigate your bedroom, boy. It cannot wait, God Lord!”

Tim swears no one will date his daughter by changing the lyrics to ‘You’re Beautiful’ by James Blunt. He sings to his daughter’s potential boyfriend, “You imbecile, you imbecile, you’re an imbecile, it’s true. Stay away from my angel. You spawn from hell. Only when I’m dead and blue will I let her date you.”

Finally, Tim brings the house down with his rendition of U2’s ‘With or Without You.’ He laments about waiting for his kids to come out to the car and changes the lyrics to sing, “Leaving…with or without you.” Tim’s comedy songs and parenting techniques have the audience cracking up the entire time.
