Music affects humans in many ways. It motivates us, inspires us and brings about a range of emotions in us. We may be surprised to know that music also affects animals in ways we cannot imagine.
This video illustrates the bond between humans and animals and the fact that even animals are not immune to the powers of music. In the video Lek, the caretaker starts to softly sing a lullaby to Faa Mai, the baby elephant. As soon as she starts the baby elephant completely surrenders to her voice and prepares to go to sleep.
Lek has a lovely voice and her love for the baby elephant is evident in the way she swats off the flies when he is sleeping.
