Dancers fill the screen dressed in clothes that remind us of the 50s. Men in suits and women in dresses dancing the impressive moves associated with the great music of the time. The songs that play are excellent cover versions of the originals.

Rock n’ Roll inspired the dance choreography, and there are many great songs in this video. Classics like ‘Great Balls of Fire’ and ‘Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On’ from Jerry Lee Lewis feature cool piano riffs and uptempo beats.

The dancing continues to the soulful ‘Good Golly Miss Molly’ from Little Richard. The song is ranked #94 on the Rolling Stone magazine list of 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Rounding out the video is Elvis’ ‘Blue Suede Shoes,’ the first track on his first album in 1956. The King is followed by Chuck Berry’s ‘Johnny B. Goode,’ which is considered one of the first songs to sing about Rock n’ roll stardom.

All these songs were mega-hits that kids loved to dance to at local sock hops. They would kick off their shoes and jump on the gym floor whenever possible. Rock n’ roll was the inspiration!

The clothes, the dancing, and the music take us back to a significant time in America. Many of us grew up during this time, and those younger viewers who commented on this clip wished they could’ve been teens in the 50s!
