If you find out that you are going to be a parent, it is definitely exciting and world changing news – at least for you. We’ve all had our lives documented for us when we were little and that trend hasn’t changed as excited parents-to-be now have a whole lot more at their disposal than just click cameras.
Back in 2012, Osher and Tomor found out that they were going to have a baby girl! This was definitely happy news for the young couple and they didn’t want to start the documentation of the baby start only after her birth. So guess what the creative dad-to-be decided to do?
Tomor took over a thousand pictures of Osher’s growing belly as the months passed and using stop motion technology, he created a video to commemorate her pregnancy. Not only that, he ingeniously added special touches to the editing process to truly make it unique. You’ll know what I’m talking about when you watch the video – watch out for the Nutella montage (mmm, makes me crave for Nutella).
Can you imagine that each frame was shot separately and edited and uploaded individually? It definitely was no quick job. In fact, it took him one month to edit and create the final video that you will watch. The video is almost dreamlike and definitely does justice to baby Emma’s entry into this world. When she arrived, the video went viral on a massive scale and generated over eight million views!
To give kudos to the new dad, he not only acted as photographer, but also the director, script writer and Photoshop editor pro who managed to get the whole thing documented. To the new parents, Tomor and Osher, this video not only shares the journey and changes of pregnancy, but also their special story of being new parents.
I love how creative they were in creating this time lapse video. There may be other stop motion time lapse videos, but I definitely haven’t seen one this creative!
