Many people have specific animals as pets apart from the usual cats and dogs. An unusual animal that some people keep as pets is otters. There is a family in Japan who has 2 otters as their pets. Their names are Kotaro and Hana.

Recently, Hana was lying down on a flat surface out in the open when something strange caught her attention. So she looked around to see the weird thing again. At the same time, her brother, Kotaro, who was swimming in the small swimming pool, also saw the strange thing. It was a jungle crow.
Mr. Crow, as the two otters had named the bird, had visited them several times the previous year. The otter siblings searched everywhere for the bird but could not find Mr. Crow. A week later, the otter siblings were resting inside the house since it was cloudy outside. After a while, when Kotaro was in his pool again, he saw Mr. Crow perched on the nearby fence.

Kotaro seemed very interested in the bird and kept jumping at the edge of the pool to try and get a better look at the crow. This surprised the bird, who flew away. Kotaro swam from one side of the pool to the other to catch a glimpse of Mr. Crow. But unfortunately, the crow was gone.
5 days later, it was raining hard outside, and the otters were locked inside the house. Kotaro tried to open the door to the swimming pool but in vain. Finally, Hana managed to open the door. However, she got frightened of the storm outside and quickly ran inside. The otter siblings got spooked by the thundering storm outside and made strange noises out of fear. Kotaro also sat in the safety of the owner’s arms. On the other hand, Hana sat on one of the steps upstairs.

After some time, when the storm stopped, the owner went outside to find Mr. Crow sitting on the fence. He seemed to be waiting for Kotaro and Hana. Not finding them around, the crow flew away. After a while, the two otter siblings came out. A week later, it was bright and sunny. Hana swam in the swimming pool while her brother stayed inside because of the heat.
Soon, Mr. Crow paid the otters a visit. This time, it was Hana inside the pool and not Kotaro. She seemed to communicate with the bird in her own otter language. Unfortunately, the crow didn’t respond. Soon Kotaro joined his sibling in the pool and got excited at the sight of Mr. Crow. After that, the otters began playing in the pool, and soon the crow flew away.
