There’s just something about kids. Whether it’s the innocence in their eyes, their kind demeanor, or how curious they are about life. It’s beautiful that they seem to be intrigued with everything.
Unbeknownst to many, this applies all across the animal kingdom. It’s little wonder that we never seem to get enough of baby pandas learning to walk or giraffes finding their footing shortly after birth.
One of the best such moments was recently captured on camera by the Denver Zoo. The reception was brilliant, and the video quickly went viral and currently has about half a million views.

In the video, we get to see a sweet interaction of a lion cub meeting his dad for the first time in a unique way. In this swoon-worthy moment, the lion is seen to crouch down and connect with the cub.
Notably, this is not the first time that the zoo is sharing swoon-worthy “cub dates.” Given that development is a continuous process, it’s improbable that they will stop anytime soon.
Dramatic moments like growth and learning new skills perfectly fit what they aim to capture on camera. Best of all, though, is that they are willing to invite public participation.
If you have a great name fit for a cub, you can always contact the zoo to share a name. At present, the leading contender is Tatu which is Swahili for three. An apt name given that this is the mother’s third offspring.
