Looking after four babies at the same time might be a scary prospect for most mum and dads, but parents of quadruplet daughters Allison and Steve Mathias, who welcomed four little girls at once, wouldn’t have it any other way.
From the moment they wake until they sleep, there’s hardly a quiet moment in the Mathias house with Grace, Emily, Mary Claire and Anna pretty good at keeping their parents on their toes. Any parent knows that, when it comes to babies, dinner time can provide some of the most precious moments and that’s even more so with four little ones. Steve clearly has a talent for keeping his girls giggling as this adorable video of the babies enjoying dinner shows.
The four girls can be seen sitting in their specially made table, hysterically laughing at their goofy dad and his antics, pulling silly faces at each of them causing them to giggle uncontrollably. All four little girls have huge smiles on their faces as the proud dad turns to each of them and attempts to make them smile – proving happiness definitely is infectious.
The video captures a beautiful moment for the young family and proves that all you need to make you smile is love and laughter. The hilarious dinner time Steve and Allison shared with their daughters touched so many people that it even won the $250,000 grand prize on America’s Funniest Home Videos and made them overnight celebrities. The family went on to be guests on the Oprah Winfrey Show and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where they talked about the sweet video and exactly what it’s like being parents to quadruplet girls.
Their fame didn’t end there, and the family even appeared in a three-part documentary called Super Quads. The girls have changed quite a bit since the adorable video was taken and are now seniors in high school. Even though they’re much older now, they still love looking back at the hilarious video and seeing their lovable, goofy dad in action. We wonder if meal times are still as hilarious at their house?
