There are lots of talented people in the world, and though the musicians of this day and age receive sort of a bad rap because of their behavior sometimes, some of them are truly worth praising.
Thirty-six-year-old Alecia Beth Moore, more commonly known as Pink, is definitely one of them. I am sure you have heard of her before. Pink is no doubt one of the best singers and performers we have today. Her songs have a message though and sometimes people don’t hear the message for the music.
In this clip, you’ll hear her perform live with her dad for the first time ever, partly because she wants to share his message to others about the Vietnam War and his memories of it.
This video features one of her most amazing performances. This was recorded live at the NYC-1. Pink was joined onstage by her dad, whom she refers to as her first rock star. Jim Moore is a Vietnam veteran who wrote a beautiful song called “I Have Seen the Rain” and in this clip, he sings it along with his amazing daughter. He also plays the guitar and that is the only music instrument they use. The song sends a powerful message and I hope you will listen.
