Britain’s Got Talent, also known as BGT, is a part of the Got Talent Franchise, created by the media mogul Simon Cowell. He is also one of the judges on the show with Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams.
A recently shared video clip from one of the BGT episodes has gained immense online followers. It features a father-son performing a duet of Frank Sinatra’s, ‘That’s life.’ The two had insane chemistry, which put the audience in the auditorium up.
Dave is 77 years old, accompanied by his son, Dean, who is 49 years old. Dave has been performing as a professional singer for over 50 years. Dean grew up watching his dad sing and became a singer himself.
Soon they decided to perform together. The duo is excited to be on BGT’s stage for their audition. Dean’s only wish is to get his father to experience singing in front of such a big audience again. He is happy that he achieved that goal.
Dave begins to sing a heart-warming cover of Frank Sinatra’s ‘That’s life.’ Soon, his son joins him in singing the classic track. Again, the harmonies were spot-on, creating a beautiful blend of voices that filled the entire auditorium.
All 4 judges & the audience are visibly moved by their fantastic performance. Alesha Dixon praises the duo, saying that they had a brilliant song choice, their vocals are great, & the chemistry between them is perfect. Amanda Holden is equally impressed and says, “You smashed it, Dave.”
Simon also has a lot of good things to say about their performance. He says there are certain days when he thinks he just needs a mug of hot chocolate & today was such a day, as the duo made him feel good. David finds their relationship very special too. The pair received 4 “Yeses” and moved to the next round of the talent show.
