The belly rubs pets receive from their owners are not mere fun tickles for them. There is more than that to it. For example, suppose a little baby animal is comfortable presenting its belly to you. In that case, it means that the little one trusts you or is a sign of being submissive.
You might have encountered several animals who love to get belly rubs from their humans. Recently, a baby chick was enjoying a relaxing and comfortable tummy rub. The newborn bird was playful at the beginning.
At first, the little one wanted to get out of her mom’s palm grip. Then, the young bird was more interested in playing in the open field and wanted to run on the green grass.
However, the kind lady sweetly held the baby chick in her palm. She did not want to hurt the baby as she knew the newborn was too young to be held tightly. She gently rubbed the little one’s belly with her finger.
Belly rubs make pets feel good since it sets off stimulation in the brain. Animals or pets, in particular, love to appease their owners, which shows that they trust humans. Thus, they allow the owners to touch them in their most vulnerable spots.
The baby chick loved the belly rub, which showed that the cute creature trusted and knew the woman very well. Even the way the lady showered her love on the little one proved that she cared for her pet.
The way the woman sang a lullaby and rubbed the tummy with her finger gently proved that both of them were comfortable with one another. The baby chick was so relaxed that, at one point, the poor kid dozed off to sleep.
