Some of pet owners tend to refer their pets as gifts from heaven. And Doug Dawson is not an exception. His teacup poodle called Nala makes a difference in people’s lives every day. One day Doug brought Nala to his workplace – a nursing home in Minnesota and things were never the same again.
Nala now can go around the hospital wherever she wants to all the patients and takes turns to sit on their laps. She even uses the elevator to go up or down and she gets help from any staff member of the nursing home. Though she has not been trained as a therapy dog she keeps on providing comfort for the home’s many residents. What is more, the owner and dog make a great duo! If Doug dispenses medicine, Nala prescribes affection to all the patients!
