We’ve often heard pet owners referring their pets as gifts from heaven. This is all the more true in the case of Nala, a teacup poodle who is making a difference in people’s lives every day. She belongs to Doug Dawson who works at a nursing home in Minnesota. One day he brought her into work and things were never the same again.
Nala goes around to all the patients and takes turns to sit on their laps. She rides the elevator in and out of the floors and is assisted by the staff members of the nursing home. Although she has not been trained as a therapy dog she continues to provide comfort for the home’s many residents. The owner and dog make a great combination. While Doug is dispensing medicine Nala is administering a good dosage of love to all the patients!
