Dolly Parton knows how to put on a show. After decades of success, Dolly keeps turning out hits, and this time she stars in her own Christmas special ‘Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas.’ When Dolly Parton worries that her Christmas special is being derailed by stress and arguments, she knows there’s only one thing to do…sing a song to banish Satan from the set!
In the movie, Dolly sings a catchy gospel song titled, ‘Go to Hell,’ where she sings to a man playing the character of Satan. The performance starts with Dolly singing in a red sparkling bodysuit. She is surrounded by people in white choir robes with gold chest coverings.
They all dance around her in joyous celebration, and Dolly raises her hands and sings while a man in a black suit, representing Satan, walks in with two women in black bodysuits walking with him.
She resists his temptations, then tells him off until the choir members pick him up and take him away. Dolly says, “My brothers and my sisters,” and everyone responds with “Ha” after every sentence Dolly says. She continues, “I am here to tell you that Satan is real.” They all respond again.
She continues saying that all he wants is destruction and to curse them, but she has a God that can heal and save. Then, Dolly says she rebukes Satan and laughs in his face. The choir turns to him, and they all laugh in sync, “Ha, Ha, Ha!”
Satan tries to jump at Dolly, but the choir members catch him and hold him back. Dolly sings “Go to hell” multiple times with the choir, and they lift her up on their shoulders. Dolly sings the final line and pushes Satan away, and he falls out of the scene.
Then, they have a dance break where every choir member comes out and rejoices by jumping, dancing, and waving their hands to the music with Dolly. It is a Christmas spectacular that showcases the amazing talent of Dolly Parton.
