This Dolphin Performs A Miracle Underwater, But Keep A Close Eye On Her Underbelly

Birth is one of the most enchanting miracles of the nature, but not something people get to witness that often, especially when that birth takes place in the sea. Witnessing this miracle always gives us joy and delight and instils a sense of wonder. Watching this video has given me a chance to observe one of nature’s most beautiful and wonderful miracles, which is the birth of a dolphin. Dolphins are one of few mammals in the sea, so they give birth to live young, and it is really spectacular to see, even if it is just on a video.

Dolphins are aquatic mammals, so it is obvious that dolphins give birth to a tiny dolphin baby rather than laying eggs. Like humans, dolphins give birth to only one calf at a time. But unlike humans, the baby dolphins are born within 11-12 months. And as soon as they are out, they start to wiggle their fins and swim with their mother, and instinct tells them to stay close by.

In this video you will be able to witness the marvellous birth of a baby dolphin underwater, and not only the birth, but the dolphin mom and baby’s very first swim together. While giving birth, the mother dolphin sure looks like she is in pain, but when the baby is out, she looks so pleased and happy. Isn’t that awesome?
