Dwarf giraffes appear in the wild for the first time ever

It’s hard to wrap our heads around this phenomenon. But dwarf versions of giraffes have been spotted in parts of Africa and people are in shock to see them exist.

What if we told you that dwarf versions of giraffes were to exist? You’d probably call us crazy.

But sure enough, they have been discovered for the first time ever in Uganda. More of them may be all throughout the southern half of Africa.

While many safari-goers are amazed by this new discovery, experts are pointing to a wide variety of skeletal conditions that may contribute to the size of the dwarf giraffes. One of the specific conditions is known as skeletal dysplasia.

On average, regular giraffes grow to be 20 feet in height. However, these dwarf giraffes are about a fraction of the average size.
