Take a trip back to the 80s with this classic from Eddie Money featuring a performance from the “bad girl of rock and roll” herself, Veronica Yvette Greenfield, professionally known as Ronnie Spector.

This fantastic song, which came out in 1986, was an instant hit. It steadily rose to reach number four on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 15, 1986 and was often played on MTV.

While Ronnie’s role was officially uncredited, the music video clearly shows who the star behind the vocals was. This song’s rise to prominence resurrected Ronnie Spector’s career.

As a result, the following year saw the release of two hit singles from the talented performer. “Who Can Sleep” and “Love on a Rooftop” were released in 1987 from Columbia Records.

This period also set a precedent for several years worth of legal battles between Ronnie and her ex-husband, Phil Spector, which ended with Phil paying Ronnie over $1 million.

The music video itself, however, is a perfect celebration of the energy and zeal that Ronnie Spector brought to all of her stellar performances, whether alone or with the Ronettes.

We may not have time-traveling capabilities, but if you are looking to transport yourself back to the 80s, this video is the next closest thing. Even by modern standards, this music rocks.
