Eighteen-Year-Old Reinvents Billie Eilish on The Voice UK

With the Billie Eilish hit ‘When The Party’s Over’ Ty Lewis won his way into The Voice’s ninth season. The eighteen-year-old singer from Billingham had the audience hanging on each bar, urging on the coaches to strike and vie for his support. The young artist has certainly come a long way from his roots as a student at Teesside University.

Olly Murs had barely waited until the chorus to decide that he’d heard enough. Sir Tom Jones was intrigued from the start but no amount of pleading from the audience would convince him to turn until he was ready. With just moments left, the legend struck his buzzer.

Student and singer Ty Lewis stepped onto the stage an aspiring artist and walked away a star. His blind audition for The Voice UK couldn’t have gone better as the young man delivered a brilliant rendition of ‘When The Party’s Over’ showing just how much his unique voice can transform the classic sound of Billie Eilish.
