Elvis Presley's 1960 classic 'G.I. Blues' shines in its 5K resolution restoration. Highlighted by a clip of Elvis in the shower, the film's enhanced visuals bring a refreshed look to this musical favorite, continuing to captivate audiences with its timeless charm and Elvis's iconic performance.

Elvis plays an American soldier serving in Germany after World War II. He is also a musician who forms a rock n’ roll band with other soldiers. Elvis takes a bet that he can’t spend an entire night with the hard-to-get woman known as Lili.
‘G.I. Blues’ became the 14th biggest box office film of 1960, earning a Grammy for Best Soundtrack, Best Vocal Performance, and Best Written Musical. The movie musical’s success led to many similar films designed to star Elvis as the leading role.

Elvis turns to the other man, who asks, “Say, when am I gonna get that $300 you guys owe me?” Elvis tells him he’ll have it when it’s in his pockets. Then, Elvis tells him he doesn’t have pockets, making a shower joke.
Then, the ‘Sarge’ asks if Elvis took his soap in an angered tone. Elvis says, “I think we had it for breakfast,” with a huge grin on his face. The ‘Sarge’ keeps asking for his soap while getting angry. All the guys throw soap bars at him in a funny scene that looks incredibly restored to 5K.
