David Thibault is a talented singer from Quebec, Canada who will remind you of The King Of Rock & Roll. He is only 17 years old, but already displays the talent of someone much more experienced. David’s voice is very much like the legendary Elvis Presley’s! He became a sensation practically overnight when he sang on a local radio station. He performed a cover of “Blue Christmas” by Elvis in December 2013. This must have been a truly life changing experience for him.
According to David, his love for Elvis songs comes from his grandfather who used to listen to Elvis all the time when David was a child. His amazing performance at this radio station surprised many people. So many people that knew him didn’t even know that he had this voice or the ability to sing so well. He even accepted an invitation to sing on The Ellen Show, which was a truly great experience. This guy’s voice will make you feel nostalgic for the 70s, that’s for sure!
The voice of Elvis Presley is not an easy one to imitate, and neither is his one-of-a-kind style. But David Thibault sure does nail it with this song, and he chose the perfect song to showcase his talent on the radio that day. His friends and neighbors were so surprised and he instantly became a local celebrity!
David also plays the guitar, and he wears his hair in the same signature pompadour that Elvis had, although it is hard to see with the headphones he’s wearing in this clip. I hope you enjoy his performance as much as I did.
