Elvis Presley Sings “Tutti Frutti” In 1956 Original Clip, Now That’s Nostalgic

This stage show performance of “Tutti Frutti” by Elvis Presley and The Blue Moon Boys from February 4, 1956, is the second stage show performance of this smash-hit ever.

“Tutti Frutti” by Elvis Presley and The Blue Moon Boys live on stage in this clip from 1956 is truly verified as the second time this song was performed on stage. It’s an unforgettable treat that invigorated the Little Richard classic with the king’s unique energy.

Elvis made a couple of changes to the hit track. His version uses “A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop-a-lop-bam-boom!” to close every verse, and you’ll notice that he says “bam-boom” instead of “bom-bom. It was included as the B-side of his “Blue Suede Shoes” album.

Elvis himself formed The Blue Moon Boys, which included himself, Scotty Moore, and Bill Black. All were later inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum.
