Emmanuel Lewis is an American actor, best known for playing the title character in the 1980s television sitcom Webster. In May of 1983, he appeared for the first time on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
And he had Carson and the audience in splits with his witty comebacks. The first thing Carson said to Lewis was that he thought Lewis would be taller. Lewis replied, "Yeah, me too," while looking over to the audience morosely.
For most of the interview, Carson asked Lewis about his childhood as a television star and the kinds of commercials he's worked on, such as Burger King, Maxwell House Coffee, and Quaker Life Cereal.

He has also worked on several television shows, most notably the 1980s sitcom Webster and The Love Boat, Family Matters, and In the House. He has also featured in Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz's "I Don't Give A F" video.
Lewis has released two singles as a singer. His debut single, "City Connection," reached Number 2 on the Oricon chart in Japan.
Johnny Carson is known as one of the best talk show hosts in the history of American television, having hosted The Tonight Show for 30 years, from 1962 to 1992.
He is often credited as a significant influence in future late-night hosts like David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, and Jay Leno.
