Energetic Couple Shine On Dance Floor With Swingin’ Routine That Astounds The Judges

As big band music from the 1920s and 1950s has seen an amazing revival in recent years, international swing dance competitions like The Rock That Swing Festival are becoming a more common occurrence. And for young competitors, the road to victory is fierce.

At this year’s Rock That Swing Festival, held in Munich, Germany, dance couples had the unique opportunity of swingin’ their way to a gold medal. One couple’s routine, however, stood out from all the rest.

Performing alongside 15 bands and 76 dance instructors over 4 days, young couple Sondre Olsen-Bye and Tanya Georgeiievska set their spectacular routine to the 1944 standard “Sentimental Journey.”

Featuring swinging hips, lightning-fast toe-touches, and gravity-defying leaps, Olsen-Bye and Georgeiievska deliver a dance experience like no other. And the best thing is how easy they make it look – we can’t wait to see what they work up for next year’s event.
