Epic 'Last of the Mohican's' Street Performance Draws Huge Crowd on Sidewalk

A group of musicians in kilts play traditional Scottish instruments on a city street.

At the Medieval Fayre, performers treated the audience to their version of “The Last of the Mohicans.” Surrounded by a crowd, a Scottish band called Clanadonia played drums and bagpipes in a way that had everyone moving to the beat throughout the song.

Three men in kilts play drums and bagpipes on a street, surrounded by onlookers.

The performance took place on a busy sidewalk in front of popular stores. There was a stark visual difference between the men in leather vests and kilts and the modern buildings in the background. This image alone was almost a spectacle in and of itself.

The performance started with a powerful drum beat. The bagpipe players soon joined in the festivities and continued to play. The men bobbed their heads to the beat, and the audience soon followed and moved along as the performers played.

The audience appreciated the performance as some walked up to give tips to the performers. While it is not a typical or modern performance, they are talented individuals to get in character and provide such entertainment.

As one viewer commented, “I’d follow these men into battle.” Another noted that “nothing is more Scottish than a bunch of big wild looking dudes with big tribal drums and bagpipes playing music in kilts.” The performance definitely gave viewers a more traditional view of Scottish music.

The volume and power of the bagpipes and drums could be heard through the speakers while listening to the video. One can only imagine the power these performers bring in real life.

With this rendition of “The Last of the Mohicans,” the performers had viewers appreciating their talent and asking for more as many wanted to know when they could catch these guys at a live performance.
