On the Golden Girls, the cast loves to dress up in all kinds of costumes or have other people dress up as well. Some of the funniest moments are when they pretend to be different people.
Some of them wore cowgirl costumes and tried their best to channel the free-spirited energy of the farm life. They even dressed as nuns and stayed in character in front of a priest.
They’ve dressed as magicians and magicians’ assistants. There was no role too big or too small for them. In one scene, they were all heads on plates at the dinner table.
It is even funnier when they have these costumes on and pretend as if nothing is amiss. They can keep a straight face even when they have the silliest appearances.
Even around clowns, they won’t laugh. During a play, they all dressed as farm animals, where they had to sing and dance. When Betty White was dressed as a cat, she was chased by a big dog.
In another scene, they all snuck into a men’s locker room. They were all dressed like golfers, and they pulled off the costume quite successfully, and no one could see through their disguises.
When a man dressed as a superhero stood outside on a building’s ledge, Betty White tried to get him down, and she ended up in his arms, and they flew around together. Sometimes the best moments happen when someone is in costume.
Can we all just agree there will never be another show like The Golden Girls? These ladies are in a class of their own.
