At the beginning of 2020, many families were stuck inside for weeks on end. For some, boredom was surrounding them, and people, including the Carling family, were looking for creative ways to exert their energy.
With musical talent already in their repertoire, the Carling family was inspired by Vaudeville to entertain their neighborhood, and anyone watching online. The wholesome group decided to put their spin on a Billie Holiday classic.
Dressed to the nines in their sunlit spot of the front yard, the Carlings performed an impressive version of “I Cover the Waterfront.” Idun took the spotlight at just 14 years old with her adorable appearance and lovely singing voice.
Their rendition of this classic song will make you feel like you’ve time-traveled back to the 1940s. There’s a certain comfortable nostalgia it brings that will fill your heart with all of the good feelings, and helps to put a racing mind at ease.
